Lisanne N. Asjes
Lisanne (1974) obtained her law degree in 1997 at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. In that same year she joined one of the largest and reputable law firms on the island of Curaçao. She has worked continuously at that law firm as a senior associate until founding Asjes|Carrega in 2006.
During the years Lisanne has gained extensive experience in the general law practice and specializes in employment law, law of contract, family law and (civil) litigation.
Lisanne was the chairperson of the Board of the Antillean Jurists Association (AJV) during the period June 2002 - June 2003 and was a member of the Board until the year 2009. Lisanne was also a member of the Editors Committee of the newsletter of the Antillean Jurists Association. For over 4 years she was a member of the Curacao Lions Club.
During the years, Lisanne has participated for various employers on their team to successfully negotiate collective labor agreements. Furthermore, she has served as a lecturer at different (legal) workshops.
In 2015 Dutch Caribbean Legal Portal performed a quality ranking for the best attorneys in Curaçao specialized in employment law, and Lisanne was elected among her peers as one of the three top ranked.
